Tour of the Fortresses

 

Folgaria - Fortress Dosso delle Somme - Fortress Sommo Alto - Folgaria

A trail through history, natural environment and breathtaking panoramas, leading to the two strongholds of the fortified system in Folgaria during War 1914-1918: fortress Dosso delle Somme (1670 m) and fortress Sommo Alto (1613 m). Wide overviews on the Terragnolo valley below, on the Mount Pasubio, on the Brenta Group.
The first part of the trail is rather demanding, then it turns into a relaxing and amusing track. It runs completely on dirt tracks.
